Actus ELENA is installed in your existing operation. Choose monitoring with alerts and recommendations, or add automatic CO₂ and humidity control to act in time.
Example of ELENA-MC in an existing cold room storing potatoes for industrial processing at 10–11 °C. Actus does not build the room or supply the refrigeration plant.

Actus ELENA adapts to each process, showing critical conditions and helping you spot risks before they become losses.
Don't see your crop? Contact us to discuss your operation.
Contact usDuring storage, temperature, humidity, and CO₂ affect product quality. Without continuous visibility, changes may go unnoticed until losses have already occurred.
Both options use Actus sensors across storage zones to measure air and pulp temperature, humidity, and CO₂. One cabinet per site records the data; its backup battery keeps sensing and sends a power-loss alert. Your existing refrigeration system remains in charge of cooling.
Continuous visibility, history, alerts, and recommendations help your team decide and act. ELENA-M does not switch equipment on or off; your existing refrigeration controller operates independently.
Everything in monitoring, plus automatic actions through a control module. With the Actus air-exchange system, fresh air enters and CO₂-rich air is exhausted. It can activate Actus humidification based on VPD and send temperature setpoint ramps to the existing thermostat.
Beyond environmental conditions, your team can track product and storage activities in one platform.

Two complementary measurements to understand what is happening in your cold room.

Air temperature · Humidity · CO₂
Monitor conditions around your product. Its readings help detect changes and guide air exchange and humidification with the monitoring and control option.

Internal product temperature
Measure the temperature inside your harvest and distinguish it from air temperature. Sensors are placed by room and zone to suit your operation.
See air and product temperature to catch deviations early. With ELENA-M, your team receives alerts and acts; with ELENA-MC, setpoint ramps are sent to the existing thermostat via Modbus. ELENA does not switch compressors or evaporator fans directly.
Both options show what is happening to your product in each zone. ELENA-M helps your team respond; ELENA-MC automates supported control actions.

ELENA-M shows conditions so your team can intervene. With ELENA-MC and Actus humidification, VPD-based pulses add moisture when appropriate and stop when condensation risk rises. Humidification equipment is supplied separately.

Both options detect elevated CO₂. With ELENA-MC and the Actus air-exchange system, the room can automatically bring in fresh air and exhaust CO₂-rich air according to the stage of the storage cycle.
In one potato storage case with ELENA-MC, dehydration loss after three months fell from about 10% to about 5%: a relative reduction of roughly 50%. Enter your figures to explore a scenario; results may vary.
Automatic-control scenario. The 50% figure is based on the dehydration case above; it is not a guarantee.
Estimated loss falls from 50 to 25 tonnes.

Elena AI brings together readings from your rooms, identifies risks, and recommends actions. With ELENA-M, your team responds to alerts; with ELENA-MC, configured control actions can also run automatically.
Elena, how is my cold room?

Room 7 reads 10.6 °C air temperature and 10.4 °C pulp temperature. CO₂ reached 12,323 ppm; check the extraction system to bring levels back into range.
